As an MFFL who has watched Luka since his rookie season, this is probably the best version of himself I have ever witnessed. Luka is putting up incredible numbers, as well as having his most efficient year yet, all while being 24 years old. I've seen multiple MVP Ladders floating around, and oftentimes I don't even see Luka in the top 3, even sometimes in the top 5. If I remember correctly, Luka Doncic dropped 73 points in a REGULATION time game 2 weeks ago against Atlanta, and the media isn't including him in the top 5 players in the league? Yea right.

Luka Doncic Is averaging 35 points, 9 rebounds, and 9.5 assists per game, on 49% shooting, as well as 4 3-pointers per game, shooting 40% from 3. He is 10th in 3-point percentage this season,3rd in assists, 2nd in scoring (Behind an Injured Embiid), and 24th in Rebounds as a Guard.

Luka is constantly being undermined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who by absolutely no means is a slouch of a player, but in my opinion, Luka is just better.

Luka averages 4 more points than Shai, 2 more rebounds, almost 3 more assists, close to the same amount of blocks per game (Both shy of 1), and 1.5 fewer steals. Yes, Shai is a great defender, and yes his team is winning, but he is surrounded by lottery picks and a stacked OKC roster. I like to think of these kinds of comparisons like this, If Shai was on the Mavericks, and Luka on the Thunder, what would it look like compared to now? I don't think Shai can put an Injured Mavericks team on his back like Luka can, and I think if Luka was in Shais' position, OKC would have a 5+ game lead on the 2nd place team in the western conference.

As for the race against Jokic, it's hard to argue that one. That man is genuinely becoming one of the best centers to ever play the game. Jokic is excelling in Denver, beating the Lakers yesterday evening to overtake the 1 seed. Jokic is the most efficient high-volume shooter on the floor, and let's also not overlook the passing. Jokic always finds the open man, always makes the right pass, and has incredible court vision. Jokic deserves the #1 spot, but boy does Luka deserve #2

.If Luka can start to win games consistently with these new roster fillers in Daniel Gafford and PJ Washington, while continuing to average these numbers, it's going to be an extremely hard agenda to push the MVP anywhere other than Dallas.
